Manga: What’s Hot
A panel of manga publishers, hosted by Kai-Ming Cha of Publishers Weekly, discusses what’s hot in manga. Included in the panel are Hank Kanalz from DC Comics; Frances Wall, editorial director of VIZ Media; Michael Gombos, director of Asian licensing for Dark Horse Entertainment; Mutsumi Miyazaki, director of licensing for Del Rey Manga; and Lillian Diaz-Przybyl, editor for TOKYOPOP.
American Anime Awards Finalists Announced
The New York Comic Con today announced finalists for the inaugural American Anime Awards. Over 43,000 fans cast their vote for the hottest manga and anime in North America. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony during the New York Comic Con Saturday night, February 24.
Tickets to the ceremony and gala are sold out, but fans can enjoy both through a special broadcast event on Anime Network, America’s #1 anime channel March 23 (broadcast) and April 12 (VOD).

In this debut podcast, we interview Greg Topalian, show director for the NY Comic Con, who gives us an insider’s preview of the show.
