Unique Collaboration - Karl Kerschl and Ragni

Instead of issuing standard CD sleeves for their debut EP, the rock band, RAGNI, worked with comic illustrator KARL KERSCHL (Superman, Teen Titans, X-Men 2) to produce a 72-page wordless graphic novel that works on the same themes as the music.

You can see some of the images from this novel in this music video, created specially for the NY Comic Con’s podcast. KARL KERSCHL and RAGNI will be at the NY Comic Con selling and signing their limited edition CD+Graphic Novella at the MONKEY SWEATSHOP booth all weekend.

Ragni has toured Europe, performed live streaming shows to thousands of listeners through their Ragni website and given away exclusive digital tracks at iPod friendly shows. Their music can be heard in documentaries and short films from the National Film Board of Canada and podcast shows available through Apple’s iTunes music store.

The New York Comic Con launches a free audio and video podcast from the upcoming show (February 23-25, 2007). In this debut podcast, we interview Greg Topalian, show director for the NY Comic Con, who gives us an insider’s preview of the show.
